We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in San Cristobal where 6th rankedTitanes (6-6) were defeated by seventh ranked Indios (5-5) 84-79 on Tuesday. Indios made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Indios made 8 blocks. Naturalized American point guard Eddy Polanco (193-1994, college: SE Louisiana, agency: Octagon Europe) fired 29 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Luismal Ferreiras (200-2003) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. Swingman Jassel Perez (195-2001) produced 22 points and 5 steals and point guard Richard Bautista (185-1997) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Four Indios and five Titanes players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Indios moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Reales. Defending champion Titanes dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with Marineros.
